First, its crazy that Civ V came out in 2010. I still think of it as kinda new.
Anyway, the next expansion is coming out June 8th (already pre-ordered on Steam), and that date needs to come sooner. I want to play a game NOW, but I know if I start one today it’s going to somewhat sour starting a new one on June 8th.
I am with you 100%. I want some trade route goodness and I don’t want to spoil it by starting early.
Err, don’t ya mean July? :P
Yup…
Not long to wait now! Less than a week :)
This looks like a good one, too.
I must admit to my gamer shame that V is my first ever Civ game and I only started playing last week . One thing confuses me – I am used to expansions adding new content and extra options to a game but it sounds like the forthcoming expansion is actually changing some of the fundamental rules of the original game. Is this normal for Civ?
Pretty normal. It will still be the same basic game, but with a few added layers (trade routes, tourism), and some reworked stuff (policies). Plus the ‘more’ aspect; more civs, more units, more wonders, etc.
Just one more turn …
