   Heh, yes, I was watching that one last night. The Honest Game Trailers series is shaping up well. The Mario Kart and Candy Crush Saga vids are worth a look too.

   I didn’t even know these existed for games, I love the honest movie trailers. Now I’m going to have to do some catching up :)

   FFVII is my favorite JRPG of all time, hipsters be damned.

   I am one of the few rare mutants that likes FF VIII. Saw the commercials with the cutscenes when young and they looked so awesome I just had to have that game.
   The only other FF I played was X but never really got started on that game.

     Ugh, FFVIII…

     FFVII was my first FF game (had a Genesis rather than an SNES prior to a Playstation), so I didn’t ‘get’ that every title is a new game, rather than a continuation, so I was expecting ‘more of the same’ from FFVIII. Squal rather than Cloud was not cool.

     That said I loved FFIX, which most don’t care for, so yea.

       FFVIII was a superior story (until the last act), with a superior setting, it’s unfortunate that Squall was such a terrible character.

       “So team how do we create Cloud 2.0?”
       “Well let’s copy him exactly but turn the moodiness, blandness, and lack of personality up to 11. Oh and fuck giving him any dialogue, we will literally have him *shrug* within the vast majority of conversations”

   FF VII was the first game I played on playstation 1 :) I still have memories of it, I still remember myself playing in my old house. That’s Nostalgia on its greatest times…
