Daybreak outdoing SOE already!

Deleted characters will not be restored,” Daybreak warns, so “feel free to re-roll a new character.”

And to think all this time I was worried I’d no longer get “SOE being SOE” gems. Silly me. Smed going to Smed, just now a little bit harder!

Edit: Sorry, in my haste I also missed this part:

Of note, the studio says it will not “administrate a guild or intervene in guild management affairs in any way,” meaning that if your guild leader disappears, you’re out of luck: “If your guild leader is absent, please create a new guild of your own or find another guild on the server that meets your needs.” Guild and character renames, the studio recommends, are to be handled with name change potions available in the cash shop.

Free to Play, ALL THE WAY!

  1. It was that guild one that really struck me. What, you have a level 98 guild and a huge guild hall and your guild leader has gone missing? Feel free to go screw yourself!

Yeah.. I find it hard to get too outraged about “if you delete your character, well, tough”, but that guild one is pure bullshit.

General Notice: Please do not pay this awful company any more money.

I doubt things are this black and white. I also realize, people page GMs for the stupidest crap including guild changes.

Sure if your guild leader is gone for 3 months maybe he died or something weird, but plenty of idiots would page a GM if their leader isn’t on for 3 days in a row.

People become too entitled and expect everything catered to them. How is directing people to use name change options different then any other game?

I’m not defending Daybreak, but find something that is really worth complaining about. I guess some would say all the small things add up to big things, but this seems like calling wolf when nothing is there.

Translation: CSRs are not in the budget.

  5. Gevlon says:

Actually, I wouldn’t restore “hacked” accounts either. The job of the developer is to create a playing field, not changing diapers of retarded players who delete their own characters by mistake, type their WoW password on batlle.net.cn and join an inactive guild.

Hey in EVE if you join the wrong “guild”, you lose all your PERSONAL GEAR. CCP is so much worse than Daybreak, they will go out of business next quarter!
