DF:UW – TheMercs crush VAMP

Good video here from TheMercs showing solid group tactics and how to string out a much larger force. Also love that voice comms are included in the video, as it gives a much better view into how such a group operates and what it takes to PvP at a high level.

    It’s videos like this that make me want to get in this game!! I actually had DF:UW in my checkout this time. Keep it up!

    On a similar note: How friendly is this game to someone totally new to it? I have worlds of hardcore MMO experience but nothing is quite like Darkfall either, so I don’t know how far that goes…

      Safe zones make it easy to get up to speed. The skill cap for PvP is pretty high, but being in a larger clan helps with that. I’d say its easier to get into than EVE, but harder to ‘master’ in terms of PvP (unless you are FC’ing in EVE or something like that).

      All in all, it’s always felt to me like the community is generally very open to new players. It’s always seemed to me like -most- people understand the need to help out new players learn the ropes etc.

    Slightly larger force, but definitely outplayed. The main thing I saw was that the Mercs remembered the cardinal rule of PvP – you don’t do damage while your dead – and kept themselves alive and didn’t let themselves get overextended.

    The shot calling was noteworthy but they didn’t really focus that much until after the battle had already turned in their favor.

    That said, this wasn’t really the “A” team for VAMP.
