Quick update today: DoTA is evil in it’s addictive nature. Every time you have a quality, down-to-the-end 5v5 game, it just adds fuel to the fire. Amazing that something of such quality was created as a mod, and also amazing that one map has been updated and balanced over so many years.
Great stuff, and for anyone who has Warcraft 3 and has never tried DoTA, you are missing out big time.

Wow this is a huge coincidence. Just a few days ago I started playing DotA again! :P At times I think it’s better than the actual RTS game itself.
At times? At what time is it not? We should hook up and play on a team some time, do you play on the East server? My ID is Syncaine (shocker, I know).
I find it very comical that one of the better fantasy PvP games is build on a Blizzard game, yet is not actually made by Blizzard, while they attempt to turn WoW into a viable PvP option.
They should just throw in the towel and hire the DoTA guys to build a WoW PvP server, I’m sure the results would be well above anything they have done so far.

Heh, I gave my copy of WCIII to my brother back before the first expansion. But I have never really been a fan of the WarCraft line of RTS games. I was more of a StarCraft player.
DoTA was originally Aeon of Strife for SC, way back in the day.
When AV was first announced, I thought it would be like DotA.
